About

My name is Gabriella Rodek, and I am a junior at Loyola Chicago, majoring in cognitive & behavioral neuroscience and psychology. I am currently collaborating with Dr Grzywacz and Dr. Morrison on a project focused on creating computational models of creative networks in the brain. Thus far, we have created a model which incorporates features of the default mode network (DMN), involving Monte Carlo simulations, probabilities, and digraph geometries. These tools further allow us to explore trends of this network under different experimental parameters. Additionally, we are currently exploring the geometry of our model to investigate which shapes can best describe how this network behaves among certain experimental tasks. In future work, we plan to continue exploring the networks involved in creativity such as the executive network, salience networks, and other potentially related networks.
