About

Yewon Rhee is a researcher exploring the effects of social influence on aesthetic preferences, currently focusing on social conformity. She recently completed her undergraduate at Loyola University Chicago, majoring in Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience and Sociology.

Her research interests include the formation of aesthetic preferences, valuation of social information, developmental neurobiology, and neurodegeneration and regeneration. She plans on attending graduate school in the fall for an MS in Neuroscience.

In addition to neuroscience and neuroaesthetics, Yewon is passionate about medical sociology and researching health disparities in the US. She has previously worked in social impact metrics, collaborating with nonprofits, corporates, and governments to maximize the efficiency of achieving social outcomes.
