About
Hassan Aleem is a Post Doctoral Researcher investigating the social and cognitive mechanisms of aesthetic preferences. He recently completed his P.h.D in Neuroscience from Georgetown University, where he studied how aesthetic preferences change and persist over time.
His other interests include understanding the impact of knowledge and experience on aesthetic preferences and the experience of pleasure. Hassan is passionate about applying his knowledge to real-world problems. He has worked with interior designers, art therapists, and instructors to create scientifically informed products.
In addition to Neuroaesthetics, Hassan is passionate about wearable technology and self-optimization, working as a volunteer community developer for Neosensory, where he is investigating communication between EEG and haptic bands. Hassan is open to collaboration and enjoys working in cross-disciplinary teams.
